Last weekend, the à deux team did something we never do: a bridal show. The Wedding Swirl was hosted last Sunday by Blue Ivy Events and featured a small group of hand-picked wedding vendors. Instead of booth after boring booth of wedding vendors packed into an uninteresting hotel ballroom, this show was held in the gorgeous open space of the Artists for Humanity Epicenter in South Boston. Couples were invited to make appointments with the vendors they wanted to chat with. And instead of booths, each vendor was asked to create interactive areas where couples could experience what each vendor had to offer. The à deux area was a mini version of the regular studio, including the rug, paper displays and Marie, our paper dress model.

Other vendors included amazing boudoir photographer Shannon Michelle, Bella Bridesmaid dresses, edible favors from Cookie Creatives by Jennifer, cakes by Amanda Oakleaf, Tangerine Creations floral design, local wedding blog Beantown Bride, Dental Health and Wellness (for a gleaming wedding-day smile) and many more super-talented people.

It was a busy-but-fun day of talking to couples about their 2012 weddings. I can already tell that September and October next year are going be very popular for weddings.

Thank you so much for mentioning us! Brenda said your space was so beautiful and looking at the photos, she was absolutely right! That paper dress is so inventive, looking forward to reading more from you in the future.
