Working with Chad Michael Peters makes the job a creating custom wedding stationery super easy. He provides me with the important details of the event and usually gives me creative control to craft something amazing. Johnanne and Brett’s rustic barn wedding is a perfect example of when that process works well. The parameters: a modern design in shades of pale green and yellow with a building and a tree based on images of Eastover Farm in Rochester, Massachusetts. After looking through the images, it had to be letterpress. The green-yellow-gray color palette worked beautifully with the bright white letterpress paper, which took the impression even better than I expected.

I created the tree and barn illustrations based on photos of the farm’s signature yellow barn and the surrounding large oaks. Again, the letterpress work captures a ton of the intricate detail in the weathervane.

The entire paper ensemble felt fresh and modern without taking away from the natural beauty of the venue.

Congratulations Johnanne and Brett! Thank you for allowing à deux to create something wonderful with you. Best wishes!
