It’s finally here: a ONE-derful wedding date that only comes around once in a lifetime and happens to be a numerical palindrome, meaning it reads the same forward and backward.

Like 9/10/11, November 11, 2011 is shaping up to be another huge day for weddings all over the country. More than 3,000 couples are tying the knot in Las Vegas alone. In Chinese, the numbers rhyme with one husband, one wife and one soul and signifies a marriage that will last a lifetime. How sweet is that? According to, 11/11/11 “is a day that favors matters of the heart over the mind, a day when friendship, romance, caring, and all those other good qualities of life are of utmost importance.”

So, congratulations to all of the couples out there getting hitched today. May you be as lucky in love as your anniversary date. It’s also Veteran’s Day so we give much love, honor and respect to the women and men who have served and continue to tirelessly serve our country. And Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law, Gwen.

And, yes, I posted this at 11:11.
